We are currently looking for a part-time assistant dispensary manager for the Green Goods dispensary in Baltimore, MD. This role reports directly to the dispensary manager. 

Job Description:

The Assistant Dispensary Manager is primarily responsible for the supporting the manager with supervision of day-to-day retail operations in the dispensary location. They assist the manager in ensuring daily business operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and state regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include training new employees, addressing patient and personnel complaints, managing inventory, and product and supply ordering. This position reports directly to the manager.

  • Hourly range: $24-$25/hr.
     

Responsibilities of the Assistant Dispensary Manager:

  • Maintains a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times.
  • Assists the manager in performing all day-to-day operations according to Vireo Health mission statements.
  • Assists the manager in managing inventory, ordering products , product deliveries, sales, and in analyzing data.
  • Responsible for monitoring all transactions and cash within the retail store, counting drawers and safe, making change for registers, and performing record keeping duties related to all cash handling as necessary and as directed by the manager.
  • Responsible for knowledge of security systems, POS systems, LeafLogix, Metrc and the facility structure.
  • Retains thorough and comprehensive knowledge of guest services, patient benefits, cannabis strains, sales, discounts and promotions, product pricing, HIPPA compliance, all functions of store operations, and acts as a resource for all staff members, including support for the manager.
  • Assists manager in identifying effective solutions to increase sales, including creation, implementation and evaluation of promotions, discounts, and guest benefits.
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization of store, retail storage areas, office and store supplies, and any production areas of facility.
  • Responsible for exercising tact and professionalism when problem-solving and resolving conflicts. Maintains a willingness to take corrective actions to fix mistakes, address complaints, or otherwise improve the store, staff, or guest experience.
  • Fulfills job duties of any position, as needed, to compensate for staffing shortages, meal or break times, higher than normal sales volume, or to support general operations.
  • All other job duties as assigned by the manager.

Skills & Experience

  • Must have a college degree.
  • Excellent corporate communications skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. 
  • Must have integrity and be reliable.
  • Extensive experience in customer service.
  • Ability to effectively resolve heightened interactions with patients and staff.
  • Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IT and technical support to correct them.
  • High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to create and review data metrics.
  • Must be comfortable handling high-volume cash.
  • Must be able to individually lift up to 40lbs.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays an average of 40 hours per week, and additional time as needed.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug test as required by law.
