What the role is about:

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented candidate for this role. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. 

The Production Technician 2 works closely with the Post Harvest team to support quality initiatives and use data collection to inform decision-making. This role is responsible for monitoring water activity levels throughout the dry and cure process, entering data into tracking spreadsheets, and coordinating with the Post Harvest Team Lead on which plants are ready to be processed. The role also supports the movement of harvest batches to the manufacturing license as needed and helps maintain a smooth flow of information and materials to support quality and throughput. In addition, this position assists the Team Lead and Production Technician 1 roles based on business needs. This position reports directly to the Flower Supervisor. 

What impact you'll make:

  • Operate the water activity meter to evaluate drying plants and identify when they are ready for processing. 

  • Enter all water activity data into tracking spreadsheets for real-time analysis of our environments and systems. 

  • Communicate and coordinate with the Post Harvest Team Lead regarding which plants are ready for processing based on water activity readings. 

  • Perform curing procedures to bulk cannabis flower totes after trimming is completed. 

  • Document drying trends and communicate findings to the Team Lead and Supervisor to support optimal quality for each harvest. 

  • Coordinate with the Packaging Technician 2 team to manage the physical and digital movement of harvest material from cultivation to processing. 

  • Maintain an organized, safe, clean, and orderly workstation. 

  • Follow detailed directives of department leads, supervisors, and managers. 

  • Assist with Production Technician 1 duties as required by business needs. These duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting the Post Harvest team with bucking, trimming, sorting, and regulatory documentation as needed. 

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you've accomplished:

  • Strong organizational, tracking, and communication skills. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word. 

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. 

  • Ability to manage time effectively, stay on task, and meet performance and quality expectations. 

  • Adaptability and openness to change throughout the workday. 

  • Excellent attention to detail. 

  • Ability to follow instructions and respond constructively to feedback from leadership. 

  • Must adhere to all company policies and procedures.  

  • Demonstrated reliability and consistent attendance. 

  • Ability to work in a continuous improvement environment and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, execution, and teamwork. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across teams.

The pay for this role is $19.50/hour. Competitive union benefits offered.
