What you will do
In this role The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production at the SITE production facility and ensuring operations meet inventory demands. This individual is responsible for production planning, plant safety, quality and production metrics. This position reports to the state Director of Operations.

Highlighted Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance: Lead a culture of safety by ensuring all safety protocols are strictly followed, overseeing plant safety initiatives, and leading state facility inspections to meet compliance requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Drive excellence in quality by partnering with the quality department in the implementation of rigorous quality control measures across all processes from cultivation to distribution, ensuring product standards are consistently met and meet custom expectations.
  • Delivery & Efficiency: Oversee production planning and execution to align with inventory goals, ensure execution of production plans to maintain critical inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products to meet customer demands.
  • Cost Management: Optimize resource allocation, including inventory management and ordering of production materials, to control costs while maintaining high operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Team Development and Leadership: Manage and develop a cross-functional team, ensuring all teams work cohesively towards common goals, with a strong focus on servant leadership to foster team growth and development.
  • Inventory control: ensure accurate inventory management, documentation, and workflow within the Seed to Sale inventory system, overseeing the allocation and release of inventory to sales team.
  • Innovation & implementation: Lead the launch of new products and the integration of new technologies, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Employee training & HR coordination: Oversee Comprehensive employee training programs to maintain disruption to ongoing operations.
  • Facility Coordination: Collaborate with the Facilities team to ensure all facility needs are met, supporting seamless operations across the site.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required to meet business needs and support overall operational success.  

Qualifications
  • Strong quantitative skill set
  • Adapt to rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to use multiple software platforms and potentially develop personal tools
  • Experience working in USDA/FDA regulated environment
  • At least two years of people management experience
  • Can prioritize with minimal direction
  • Experience with conflict management
  • Familiar with multitiered supply chain
  • Familiar with FDA Good Manufacturing Practices (or similar)
  • Ability to participate in physical labor (lift up to 50 pounds) on occasion
  • Experience with machine automation
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, Engineering Discipline, Science Discipline
  • MBA or Advanced technical degree is preferred
  • Can work weekends or evening as job demands
  • Ability to communicate orally with team
  • Occasional heavy lifting may be required
  • Ability to work with a computer and remain seated or standing for extended periods of time
  • Low to medium level machine noise will be regular


Salary range: 85-100k
