What the role is about: 

We are seeking an Inventory & Quality Assurance Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, order fulfillment operations, and quality assurance systems to ensure regulatory compliance, product integrity, and operational efficiency. This cross-functional role manages the movement and tracking of cannabis products, supervises order fulfillment, and conducts audits related to GMP compliance, product quality, and labeling accuracy. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in regulated environments with strong leadership capabilities.

What impact you’ll make:   

Inventory Control & Fulfillment

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts across all departments including cultivation, processing, packaging, and fulfillment.
  • Monitor all product movement including receiving, transfers, packaging, waste, and distribution to ensure accurate real-time inventory records.
  • Conduct and oversee cycle counts and scheduled bulk audits of raw materials, packaging supplies, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Supervise order fulfillment activities including order picking, staging, packing, and manifest creation to ensure accurate and timely dispatch.
  • Work closely with the sales, logistics, and compliance teams to coordinate product releases and shipping schedules.

Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Lead internal GMP audits and ensure adherence to company SOPs and applicable state cannabis regulations.
  • Conduct product quality audits during and after production to verify compliance with specifications and visual standards.
  • Perform label audits to confirm that packaging and labeling meet state requirements and brand guidelines, including strain name, potency, batch information, and regulatory warnings.
  • Review and approve Certificates of Analysis (COAs) prior to releasing products for sale or transfer.
  • Maintain and audit documentation including batch records, deviation reports, sanitation logs, and corrective action records to ensure audit readiness at all times.
  • Support regulatory inspections and third-party audits; prepare documentation and lead facility walkthroughs when required.
Team Supervision & Training
  • Supervise and schedule inventory and QA staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on relevant SOPs, QA procedures, and inventory protocols.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality, and continuous improvement across inventory and QA functions.
Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Generate and analyze reports on inventory performance, fulfillment metrics, product quality, shrinkage, and audit findings.
  • Identify trends, risks, or inefficiencies in operations and lead or recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with production, packaging, and compliance teams to ensure smooth handoffs and alignment on quality standards.

What you’ve accomplished: 
 
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, order fulfillment, and/or quality assurance in a regulated manufacturing environment (cannabis, food, pharma, or CPG preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of state cannabis regulations, inventory tracking systems (e.g., METRC), and GMP practices.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform warehouse or production floor duties as needed.
  • Must pass all background checks and meet applicable state cannabis licensing requirements.


Annual Salary: $60,000
