What the role is about:

We are currently seeking an experienced and flexible Pharmacist to join our growing dynamic team. The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing consulting services and dispensing medical cannabis to patients. This individual will be responsible for working alongside the healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment. This position reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager. 

What impact you'll make:

  • Oversees dispensing of all cannabis-based medications from our Cannabis Patient Centers (CPC) 

  • Diligently maintains accurate medical cannabis inventory, including processing returns and removal of outdated products from the CPC inventory.  

  • Provides direct patient care by conducting [virtual/live/telephone] consultations with approved medical cannabis patients 

  • Makes clinical decisions regarding which product(s) in our formulary spectrum to recommend based on a patient’s qualifying condition and other factors.  

  • Completes CPC operational requirements by organizing and directing technician work flow, verifying and labeling medications, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.  

  • Addresses questions from providers, patients, and the community.   

  • Complies with all state regulations and provides oversight for overall CPC compliance. 

  • Participates in record keeping and reporting necessary for State compliance. 

  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. 

  • Remains current on cannabis-based pharmacological knowledge.  

  • Educates and shares cannabis-based medication knowledge with the broader CPC team.  

What you've accomplished:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing within the State.  

  • Preferred experience in both clinical and retail settings with emphasis on customer service. 

  • Preferred additional training in Cannabis Based Medicine. 

  • Available to work a flexible schedule of days, nights and weekends. 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time. 

  • Maintains and safeguards entrusted confidential information.  

  • Proficiency in MS office and other required software. 

  • Ability to meet assigned deadline. 

  • Ability to assist and mentor new hires/PharmD students.. 

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate effectively with patients, families, co-workers and medical professionals.  

  • Prompt attendance to shifts and responsible time management. 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.  

  • Ability to function independently and proactively.  

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

  • Ability to understand, support, and implement organizational policies/procedures and state regulations  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change. 

  • Maintains professional relationships with patients and co-workers. 

  • Ability to perform job duties effectively when under stress and maintain a high level of attention to detail. 

  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and grow with company.  

  • Analyzes information and implements quality control.  

  • Acts ethically and applies good judgment. 

Perform other duties as assigned by Management. 

Salary per CBA: $133,000
